Rotation Next Monday, Dec. 3
Grade 3 will be having our rotation classes next Monday, Dec. 3. Rotation takes place twice a quarter and allows the children to have instruction from Resource teachers and allows the teachers to have time to compile assessment results and collaborate on instructional needs and strategies. Students will be having art, performing arts, PE, guidance, technology, and library classes. Please don't forget to wear shoes and bring a water bottle for PE.

Many of the students passed on their first try and will be focusing on doing even better on the next two rounds. Class Demonstrations
We were treated to many interesting demonstrations last week. The students did a great job teaching their classmates how to make and do many new things. The purpose of this assignment was to practice writing and sharing instructions on how to do or make something we could do well. We needed to clearly explain the steps in order so our classmates could follow the steps. We had fun sharing and learning so many new things!
Check out these pics of some of our demonstrations!

Ceramic Glazing
The students did a wonderful job glazing their ceramic pieces last Wednesday. It was a challenging task to select colors and make sure that the pieces were completely covered with color. We are firing our pieces in the kiln today and are anxious to see what they will look like. Sorry, but you won't get to see the final products until they come home for Christmas. I'm sure that you will be pleasantly surprised!
Thank you to Mrs. Pastor, Mr. Pakjake, and Mrs. DeMello for helping us. We really appreciate your help!
Enjoy these pics of the children (taken by Mrs. Pastor) working hard on their glazing!

Ceramic Creations
Our big art project this quarter is ceramic making. The students made beautiful ceramic pinch pots. Starting with a ball of clay, the students pinched the clay in a circular direction to form their creative pots! You'll be pleasantly surprised when you see the finished products!
Fun With Fables
After reading and learning about fables, we are now creating our own original fables. We'll be making little books with our fables. We're anxious to finish them and share them with you!
Enjoy the pics and video clip from the play.
